The first time you access LEAN you will be asked to provide some personal data and select the primary goal you are looking to achieve by using the app, e.g. to get fitter, lose weight, get strong etc.
Depending on the information you provide and which option you select, we will personalise the meal plans you are given access to. You can always change these settings later on, however, please note that changing your goal will reset your completed workouts.
Home Screen
Once you select your goal, your meal plans will be generated and you will be taken to the home screen of the app. There you will be able to navigate between different weeks and start tailoring your plan to your needs.
Meals
To see your meals for every day of the week, just tap the "meals" button available under each day. Your five meals for the day will be generated but if there is something you don't fancy or have the time to cook, you can just tap "change meal" at the bottom right of each option and swap it for another meal listed in the same category.
Meals are categorised as Breakfast, Main (Lunch/Dinner), or Snacks.
Clicking on a meal will show you its macros (calories, fats, carbs, protein) up top, then the method for making it and finally the ingredients you will need to use.
Are LEAN meals suitable for me?
LEAN is suitable for men and women over the age of 13 years old.
The app offers a variety of workout programmes and meal plans based on your personal data and fitness goals.
However, LEAN meal plans are not tailored to specific allergies and other dietary requirements. Users with such requirements (e.g. gluten-free, allergic to nuts etc) will have to adjust the recipes available on the app themselves.
LEAN is not suitable for women who are pregnant, breastfeeding or looking to conceive or for any individual who has a history of eating disorders or medical illness.
Should you have any doubts about whether or not the meal plans available on the app are appropriate for you, we would recommend checking with your physician and/or nutritionist.
Shopping list
To find a list of the ingredients (and the total quantity of each one) required for each week's meals just tap the "shopping list" button available on the home screen, at the top of your "weekly planner".
